October/November 2013 - 3rd grade Dialogue Presentation Rubric.

1- Clothes, costumes and props.	Students use costumes, clothes and props that show work and creativity so the setting is clear and attracts the audience attention.	Sts use costumes or props, which do not generate interest.	Sts do not use costumes or props so the setting is not clear.
2-Preparedness.	Sts are completely prepared, have obviously rehearsed so the flow of the dialogue generate makes it appealing.	Some sts miss their lines so the dialogue does not flow and it lacks appeal. Sts may have needed a couple more rehearsals.	Sts miss their lines, it is clear that rehearsal is lacking, the dialogue is not easy to understand.
3-Speak clearly.	Sts speak clearly all the time and mispronounce no words so the dialogue is easy to follow. Appropriate volume.	Few sts mumble, cannot be understood, or mispronounce words so the dialogue is sometimes difficult to understand.  Appropriate volume most of the time.	Most sts mumble, cannot be understand and/or mispronounce words so the dialogue is not clear. Volume is often too soft.
4-Posture and enthusiasm.	Posture and body language generate interest and enthusiasm. Sts look relaxed.	Some of the sts’ posture and body language generate interest and enthusiasm. Some sts look relaxed.	Most sts do not look relaxed; very few use body language, which do not generate interest or enthusiasm.
5-Use of structures taught.	The dialogue contains examples of use of: Present and Past Simple, Present Perfect and Passive voice.	The dialogue contains most of the structures taught.	The dialogue only contains basic structures, such as Present and Past simple.
6-Use of Vocabulary	The dialogue contains varied vocabulary related to the topic. Sts take risks and use vocabulary and structures beyond expectations.	It contains a good range of vocabulary but not the voc taught in class, sts do not take any risk.	It contains basic vocabulary, showing no interest and creativity.
